Maintenance philosophy

The maintenance record connects each task to the controlling source, interval, responsible person, completion evidence and next due date. A task is not complete because an invoice exists; completion requires an acceptable result and a durable record.

Controlled maintenance structure

• Daily and pre-departure: fluid levels, bilges, batteries, alarms, raw-water flow, steering, propulsion and visual rig/deck inspection.
• Weekly and monthly: run standby machinery, inspect filters and strainers, exercise seacocks, check battery/system logs and inspect safety equipment condition.
• Quarterly and annual: manufacturer-specified engine, generator, watermaker, HVAC, steering, rig and safety-equipment work.
• Major intervals: preserve five-year and component-life events exactly as stated by the controlling manufacturer record.
• Configuration control: record software updates, replacements, modifications, consumables, critical spares and any material weight change.

Intervals and part numbers belong in the private service register after model and serial applicability is confirmed. This public record deliberately does not publish equipment serials or a vulnerable system-location map.

• Twin Yanmar 4LV-150 propulsion engines and KMH50H gearboxes
• Two Onan Cummins 11 kW generator sets
• Ten-module MG lithium service bank and both 230 V/120 V inverter networks
• Dessalator D300 watermaker, installed as a single unit
• Jet Thruster, steering and redundant autopilot functions
• Carbon rig, standing/running rigging and black Hydranet sails
• Tenderlift and ASTender 400 operating limits
• Bilge pumps, alarms, fire/safety equipment and communications redundancy

Evidence standard

Receipts, photographs and technician notes support the record. They do not replace the manufacturer requirement or a functional acceptance test.

Commissioning boundary

The documentary maintenance structure is published. Initial hours, measured results, completed acceptance tests and next-due dates remain commissioning records and must be entered after handover; inventing them would make the manual unsafe.
