Delivery, Departure and the First Lucky Enough

By late May 2023, the Privilege 510 had become S/Y Lucky Enough and the preparation list had narrowed to insurance, provisions and the final go/no-go decision. At 6:54 p.m. on Friday, May 26, she pushed away from the dock in Les Sables-d’Olonne.

That departure is the first directly documented operational milestone in the original journal. The next entry begins Season 1 and the maiden voyage across the Bay of Biscay.
